I was having coffee with en entrepreneur in London yesterday whose company also does business in the US. Somehow we land on the topic of the American market, and he asks me to guess where the UK would rank on a per capita income basis if it were a state in the US.
The answer is #49 (I guessed #35). I was mind blown. At times, you just have to sit back and admire the US economy. Even with the divergence the West collectively experienced, the US managed to be an outlier in the positive extreme within it.
